The National Living Treasures Award, alternatively known as the Gawad sa Manlilikha ng Bayan (GAMABA; lit. 'Award for the Creators of the Country'), is conferred to a person or group of artists recognized by the Government of the Philippines for their contributions to the country's intangible cultural heritage. GAMABA stands for Gawad ng manlilikha ng bayan, the very purpose of this award is to give honor and pride to those traditional folk artist and to preserve their works, skills and crafts.The very essence of GAMABA is to recognize the intangible cultural heritage of the so called“Manlilikha ng Bayan”, to give honor to their artistic excellence, express pride to their contributions in arts and to preserve these and continue to practice and pass their skills to the next generation.

>Ginaw Bilog was a Filipino poet who was recognized as a National Living Treasure by the Philippine government. Born on January 3, 1953, Bilog was a Hanunuo Mangyan who was a native of Mansalay, Oriental Mindoro. He was known for his efforts in preserving the Mangyan poetry tradition of ambahan.

>Darhata Sawabi is a Filipino weaver from Parang, Sulu known for pis syabit, a traditional Tausūg cloth tapestry worn as a head covering by the people of Jolo. She is a recipient of the National Living Treasures Award, having given the distinction in 2004.

>Eduardo Tubig Mutuc is a Filipino metalsmith and sculptor. He is a known practitioner of the craft of pinukpuk which involved the stamping of embellishments on metal sheets. Mutuc create works of both secular and religious nature using silver, wood and bronze mediums.

His influence in contemporary arts is making these pieces of ancient knowledge accessible to today's artists. His contribution to Phil'n Culture and arts was through his dedication in how to play the kudyapi. Her artistic designs inculcated with the rich history of the country have made her a national living treasure.
